As big as a small dog, a tayra – a relative of badgers and weasels – peered down at its photographer below. The tayra eats many different foods, but here, in Costa Rica’s Corcovado National Park, it was using its teeth to pluck the fruit of a Panama rubber tree.
A brilliant little keepsake from the Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2020 exhibition.
