Skilfully hand carved tagua components are beautifully complimented by hand cut and polished brass tube on a silver plated ball chain. Tagua is a nut from a type of palm that grows in the South American jungle. Often known as vegetable ivory, tagua is an environmentally friendly and sustainable alternative to animal ivory.
The tagua pieces in this necklace are handcarved and dyed by the MYA group in Ecuador. The finally assembly of the necklace is completed by the Just Trade UK team of makers in our Peckham studio.
