Okabe-Utsu Hill. Pheasants and brushwood in defile.Narrow mountain passes were favorite spots for bandits to await the easy prey of a lone traveler. This particular pass was the setting for a kabuki play in which a visually impaired traveler was robbed. Woodblock print on paper, 1834.
