A wide view of a gorge with steep rocky faces leading down into a river. Each side of the gorge is covered in green woodland. To the right the view spans out to the grassy plains where a couple stand together looking out at the view.
Samuel Jackson(1794 – 1869) was an English watercolourist and oil painter who has been called the "father" of the Bristol School of art.
