This 1789 painting shows a covered wagon pulled by horses outside Old Down Inn, Radstock. The inn dates to 1640 and still exists today. The wagon was travelling to the Three Kings Inn, Thomas Street in Bristol, where there was once stabling for 100 horses. Oil painting.
