Robert Wlérick (1882-1944) was a figurative artist who modelled the human form and was primarily interested in formal qualities such as balance and harmony. His modelling technique was sensitive and subtle, depicting the life and movement of his subject.
This is a colour drawing on paper, showing a full-length, young female figure, showing her right-side, leaning against a table, drawn in red chalk ('sanguine').
